A private multipurpose port on 851 registered hectares, with a natural seabed of up to 27.7 meters at the berth line and over 70 meters on approach.
Puerto Pacífico Sur S.A. is developing a multipurpose port in Punta de Bombón, Islay province, on long-held, extensive private property. The project includes its own airport, a rail terminal, a mineral pipeline, and areas for warehouses, industrial plants, commerce, and services.
Unlike port developments on state-owned land, here the land is already registered, free of liens, and has no communities requiring a social license. That removes upfront the two variables that most delay port infrastructure in Peru.
We are seeking strategic partners and companies that need their own port.
The survey records a platform of 18 to 27.7 meters off the projected berth line, with contour lines of 55, 65, and 70 meters on approach. The design operating draft is set at 20 meters — sustained by the natural seabed, with no initial dredging or channel maintenance.
In maritime infrastructure, dredging is one of the costliest and most uncertain CAPEX line items. Here that line item is structurally reduced, and that advantage passes directly through to the tariff.
| Port | Country | Draft | Class |
|---|---|---|---|
| Puerto Pacífico Sur | Peru | 20.0 m | Capesize |
| Mejillones | Chile | 18.0 m | Capesize |
| Antofagasta | Chile | 16.0 m | Panamax |

| Matarani | Peru | 9.75 m | Handymax |
